The Natsarim

Guardians of the Derekh HaQedem (The Ancient Path)

The Natsarim: Guardians of the Derekh HaQedem (The Ancient Path)The Natsarim (נַצְרִים) — from the Hebrew root “natsar” (נָצַר) meaning to guard, preserve, or watch — are the original followers of Yahushua HaMashiach, known for walking in the Torah of YAH and carrying the testimony of Yahushua.

These believers did not create a new religion. They preserved the ancient faith of the patriarchs, walking in the Derekh HaQedem (דֶּרֶךְ הַקֶּדֶם) — the Ancient Path. As written:

“Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths (Derekh HaQedem), where the good way is, and walk in it; and you shall find rest for your souls.”
— Yirmeyahu (Jeremiah) 6:16

1st Century Roots: Torah-Keeping Disciples of Yahushua

The Natsarim:
• Honored the Name of YHWH
• Followed the Torah and kept the Mo’edim (Appointed Times)
• Believed Yahushua was the Netser (Branch) from YeshaYahu 11:1
• Recognized the priesthood under the Order of Melchizedek

Even Roman and early church writers recorded their distinct identity:

“They accept Messiah in such a way that they do not cease to observe the old Law.”
— Jerome

“They are different from the Jews, and different from Christians… They have the Goodnews according to Matthew in its entirety in Hebrew.”
— Epiphanius

In Ma’asei (Acts) 24:5, the apostle Sha’ul (Paul) is accused of being a leader of the sect of the Natsarim, confirming their separate identity.

Suppression and Scattering

After the destruction of the Temple in 70 CE, the Roman empire began a campaign to erase Hebrew identity:
• Replaced Shabbath with Sunday
• Forbade Torah observance
• Blended the faith with pagan customs

The Natsarim were persecuted from both sides:
• Rabbinic Judaism rejected them for following Yahushua
• Christianity condemned them for obeying Torah

But they endured — especially among the scattered tribes of Yisra’EL, in Africa, Asia, and even the early Americas, where some preserved fragments of the Derekh HaQedem.

The Last Days Awakening

Now, in the last days, the Ruach HaQodesh is awakening the remnant:
• The Ancient Order of Melchizedek has reappeared to guide the Set-Apart ones
• Hidden scrolls and ancient truths are being restored
• The two houses of Yisra’EL are being reunited (Yehezqel 37)
• True prophets, priests, and apostles are rising again in righteousness

“Do not boast against the branches… it is not you who support the root, but the root supports you.”
— Romans 11:18

What It Means to Be Natsarim Today

• We follow Yahushua HaMashiach as the Netser (Branch)
• We guard the Torah, Shabbath, and Mo’edim
• We proclaim the true Name: YAHUWAH (יהוה)
• We honor the ancient priesthood of Melchizedek
• We walk the Derekh HaQedem, the narrow and set-apart way

Join the Restoration of the Ancient Path

This is the time of the greater exodus. The dry bones live again.
The 12 tribes are awakening. The nations are being grafted in — not above Yisra’EL, but beside her, in righteous order.

“In those days, ten men from every language of the nations shall grasp the sleeve of a Yehudim man, saying, ‘Let us go with you, for we have heard Elohim is with you.’”
— Zekaryah (Zechariah) 8:23

Ethpatha. Be opened.
Join Beth Elohim. Walk the Ancient Path. Guard the truth. Carry the hope of the Kingdom.
